Art Care & FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions & Art Care
Because every piece at Bianco Terra is uniquely hand-sculpted using structural plaster, gesso, and raw earth elements, caring for your tactile art ensures it remains a permanent sanctuary centerpiece.
How do I clean and dust my 3D plaster art?
Due to the deep, raw textures of our finishes, dust can accumulate over time. To clean your artwork, gently use a clean, dry, ultra-soft makeup brush, a painters brush, or a can of compressed air from a distance. Never use a wet cloth, chemical cleaners, or liquid sprays, as moisture can soften or stain the raw, chalky plaster finish.
Is the plaster fragile? Will it crack over time?
Our structural mediums are completely mixed by hand using premium, flexible casting gesso and reinforcing structural fibers. This unique artisan blend prevents natural cracking or flaking. However, because the textures are physical and raised, the edges can chip if banged against a hard surface. Please handle the canvas edges with absolute care when unpacking or moving.
How should I hang my heavy textured canvas?
Plaster art carries significantly more physical weight than standard acrylic paintings. Every Bianco Terra canvas arrives pre-installed with heavy-duty steel D-rings and industrial hanging wire. We highly recommend mounting your art directly into a wall stud or utilizing heavy-duty anchor screws rated for at least 30–50 lbs to secure your sanctuary safely.
